Skaven blood bowl team: Slaves to the Piper

Well so much for a weekly blog...2 weeks for the follow up and that was with material pre prepared!! My 2 nd team for blood bowl was started in October 2016 with the intention of having ready to compete in the painting competition at the NAF championship 2017 8 months later. The bulk of he team was ready and based in time, but a few lineman and a blitzer weren't fully done so whilst I played (and even won 2 games) I didn't enter the painting comp. Another 3 to 4 months later and not much progress has been made with 6 bases still needed and 3 linerats needing to be finished...I also have a coach model started (my first little diorama) but not very far progressed. Anyway that will probably be the subject of a later blog. As I need to start on my NAF championship 2018 team I'm presenting this team as it stands. The Ostland Hawks Return

So this is a painting record for myself, but we will see how this develops…. I played and painted a lot from around 1990 until university distractions arose around 1998 and after brief occasional returns since then I finally got back into the hobby more consistently around 3 years ago when my friend Snickit took me along to BOYL in 2015. Painting is my main hobby area, but since moving to Edinburgh a year ago I've joined a Blood Bowl club so I'm finally getting some regularly gaming!! A year ago I thought my focus would be painting up a Tzeentch warband with old 1980s and early 90s models, or a 2 nd take on rogue trader / 2 nd ed eldar army. I'm proud to say that I do now have a small lead pile with these models ready to go, but with the blood bowl group my attention has switched to getting teams slowly painted for this.
